I first went to Disneyland while I was still in a stroller and then to Disney World when it opened in 1971, staying in the wing of the Contemporary Resort. This began my love affair with Disney!
Our family visited often while I was growing up, and after I graduated from college, I went to work at Disney World for the next 8.5 years, in the Resorts. I actually met my husband while we were both on the Opening Team for the Grand Floridian Hotel in 1988. We moved back up north to be closer to family when we had our own children, but that didn’t slow down our visits. Between yearly (sometimes more) visits to Disney World, we have also gotten to cruise on Disney Magic, along with many other cruise lines.
We also take in Universal/Islands of Adventure as often as possible. We are all in awe of all things Harry Potter. We have been back in the South now for over 20 years, just north of Charlotte, in Harrisburg, NC. Most importantly… easier driving to Florida!
Disney is part of our family, a place where we all can appreciate the magic. From the moment we return home, we are counting down the days until we go back.
Becoming a Travel Agent specializing in all things Disney allows me to use my years of experience working there, the countless visits, and the knowledge gained through the Disney College of Knowledge site to help you plan a magical vacation too.
Over the years, we have also gotten addicted to cruising. We have sailed with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Costa, Disney, MSC, Holland America, and Carnival. Up next will be Princess or Celebrity. It is a great way to see so many wonderful places without having to repack and drive… or fight over where to go for dinner!
Some of our favorite things have been cave tubing in Belize—so cool! Or having a relaxing sea day on one of the ships, or just resort hopping around Disney World. Just being immersed in the “bubble” is a vacation in itself.
